Horsham Township, Independence Blue Cross (IBX), and NFC came together on October 15 to celebrate the relaunch of the Fitness Court at Lukens Park, marking the township as the first official IBX-sponsored Fitness Court partner in the Philadelphia region. Originally launched in 2020, the Fitness Court reopened with modernized equipment and a completely renovated space designed to serve users of all fitness abilities. The ribbon-cutting ceremony highlighted the shared commitment between Horsham Township, IBX, and NFC to expand free access to high-quality workouts and create equitable opportunities for outdoor exercise.
The Fitness Court outdoor gym features seven stations that allow users to leverage their own body weight for a complete workout. Demonstrations were led by Jocelyn Weidner and Barry Weidner of CrossFit Generation, who guided the community through how to use each station and maximize the Fitness Court’s full potential.
